Celebrate Kiwanis One Day

On April 4, 2009, be sure to set aside some time for the family: the Kiwanis family, that is.

Saturday, April 4, marks the third annual observance of Kiwanis One Day, a day when Kiwanis and its family of clubs around the world - Kiwanis Junior, Circle K, Key Club, Aktion Club, Builders Club, and Kiwanis Kids - join forces with their communities for a day of hands-on service. A lot of good work gets done on this day, work that increases Kiwanis’ presence in the community and builds awareness about the value of service.

2009 Kiwanis One Day Project

Join the Kiwanis Clubs of Bloomington/Normal for Kiwanis One Day 2009! We will gather at Timber Pointe Outdoor Center (an Easter Seals camp) on Lake Bloomington to help prepare the grounds and buildings for campers this summer. You don’t have to be in Kiwanis to participate, we need to help of everyone in the community to make this day a success! While at Timber Pointe we will work on:

  • Grounds Cleanup (Pickup sticks, rake leaves)
  • Preparing Pool (Removing winterized protection)
  • Trail Cleanup
  • Outdoor painting
