Service Leadership Programs
The Kiwanis Club of Normal sponsors two
programs for students for the purpose of developing leadership future leaders. and a lifestyle of service.
Key Club is the oldest and largest service program for high school students. What makes Key Club so successful is the fact that it is a student-led organization that teaches leadership through serving others. Key Clubbers work to help eliminate HIV/AIDS in Africa, stop premature birth, and battle for the rights of children in their communities. The Kiwanis Club of Normal sponsors the Key Club at University High School in Normal.
Nearly 40, 000 middle and junior high students in 1,300 clubs in 18 nations contribute service to school and community while developing leadership and people skills. Builders Club members implement practical service-learning principles as they focus on supporting organizations that focus on the needs of children. We sponsor the Builders Club at Holy Trinity Junior High School in Bloomington.
